Itinéraires à Laoshan : des programmes parfaits pour 1 ou 2 jours
Hour-by-hour plans: the classic coastal day, the summit weekend, the family edition and the honest half-day salvage — built around the 15:30 and 16:30 deadlines.

“Is one day enough for Laoshan?” is the question every reviewer answers with a shrug and a story — half a day, writes one Trip.com traveler after trying to squeeze Jufeng and the coast into an afternoon, is “NOT enough… you’ll basically just hit the edge and miss the real vibe.” The official recommendation is 1–2 days, and that second day is not padding: it is the difference between seeing a mountain and feeling it. These itineraries — one for a single long day, one for a proper weekend — are the plans we hand friends, refined over a dozen trips and a few lessons learned the hard way.

Points clés à retenir
- One day = the southern line: Taiqing Palace → Qingshan → Yangkou, start at 7 AM, done by 16:30.
- Two days = + the summit: Day 2 belongs to Jufeng (sunrise) or Beijiushui (waterfalls) — the all-access pass covers both.
- Plan backward from 16:30 — final admission, not the 17:30 closing time.
- Ticket lines must match gates: Taiqing direction ≠ Yangkou direction ≠ Beijiushui gate.
- Walk the coast back-to-front to move against the tour-bus current.
Réponse rapide : book the Billet de la ligne Taiqing for Day 1; add the all-access pass instead if you already know Day 2 exists — US$31.50 valid 3 days beats buying twice.
1. The perfect one-day plan (southern line)
- 06:30. Metro Line 4 toward Dahe East; breakfast is a bakery and a plan, eaten standing.
- 07:00 – 07:30. Gate and first southern-line bus; the coast road glitters in the low light.
- 07:30 – 10:00. Taiqing Palace before the crowds: courtyards, ginkgo shade, the Laozi statue, Pu Songling’s study, the sea terrace.
- 10:00 – 11:00. Coast road stops: the calligraphy cliffs and the Qingshan viewpoint over red roofs and tea terraces.
- 11:00 – 12:30. Lunch in Qingshan or at Yangkou — seafood by the plate, Laoshan green tea, the famous mineral water.
- 12:30 – 15:30. Yangkou: cableway up (US$5.25 one way), Longevity Cliff balcony paths, Mitian Cave for the brave, sea-view terraces.
- 15:30 – 16:30. Drift back along the coast, last photos, bus to the hub — final admission was 16:30; you are leaving, not arriving.
- Evening. Back in Qingdao by 18:00 for beer-braised seafood downtown; you have earned it.
This is the day most first-timers should buy: the Taiqing-direction combined ticket (US$19.50) plus the Yangkou cableway add-on if your legs vote for it.
2. The two-day plan — summit edition
- Day 1, morning. The southern line as above — Taiqing and the coast road while your legs are fresh.
- Day 1, afternoon. Yangkou, but swap the cave for an early finish: tomorrow starts before sunrise.
- Day 1, evening. Sleep near the northern gates or in the Jiushui valley guesthouses (several small hotels, reviewers love the setting) — not downtown, unless you enjoy 4:30 AM alarms.
- Day 2, dawn. Jufeng zone with first buses; ride the cableway or earn it on foot through the forest paths (see the guide de randonnée).
- Day 2, morning. Summit loop, inscribed boulders, the sea-of-clouds lottery — mornings after humid nights give the best odds.
- Day 2, afternoon. Descend, lunch, then Beijiushui for an easy waterfall cooldown if the legs allow — or save it for a future trip and nap in the sun instead.
Ticket math: this plan is exactly what the all-access pass (US$31.50, valid 3 days) was built for — Day 1 coastal, Day 2 summit, and a spare day in your pocket in case weather closes a cableway.
3. The two-day plan — family edition
Swap the summit for water and shade. Day 1: the southern line, but let Yangkou’s beach and cableway be the finale (kids rate the chairlift above any temple). Day 2: Beijiushui all morning — pool-hopping, picnic rocks, the dam waterfall as the turnaround point — then tea-tasting or a Qingshan village wander before the metro home. Under-1.4m children ride the ticket free (registered on the booking), the valley paths are pram-tolerable in the lower section, and ice cream exists at every hub. This is the plan reviewers’ kids remember.
Extrait de notre visite : we ran the family edition with a five-year-old and a grandmother — the unspoken toughest reviewer panel. The winning moves: pool-side picnic at pool seven (flat rocks, shallow edges), the dam waterfall as the dramatic turnaround, and an unhurried hour of tea-tasting while the youngest napped in the carrier. Nobody counted stairs; everybody slept on the metro home.
4. The honest half-day salvage plan
Landed in Qingdao with one afternoon? Do not attempt the mountain’s greatest hits — you will, as one traveler put it, “basically just hit the edge”. Instead: Yangkou only. The Yangkou line ticket (US$13.50) plus the cable car combo gets you sea cliffs, the Longevity character and the bay in three focused hours. Skip the cave if time is tight; take the terrace views slow. Then promise yourself the full line next visit — one Trip.com reviewer returned twice and still found new corners.
Half-day math: tickets stop at 15:30 and admission ends 16:30, so an “afternoon visit” really means arriving by early afternoon at the latest — the 17:30 closing time is not your deadline, 16:30 is.
5. Five rules that make any plan work
- Match gate to ticket — Taiqing direction, Yangkou direction and Beijiushui are different gates; check before you board.
- Start at 7:00 — every itinerary above silently depends on it; crowds and heat arrive by 10:30.
- One zone per half-day — the scenic area is 446 km²; “quick stops” between zones eat hours.
- Shoes, water, patience — hundreds of stone steps even on the easy lines; reviewers who raved all wore real shoes.
- Keep the hotline — +86-532-96616 settles cableway weather questions faster than any app.
Foire aux questions
Can I do Taiqing and Yangkou in one day?
Yes — that is the perfect one-day plan above. They sit at opposite ends of the same coastal line, connected by the scenic buses; start at Taiqing by 7:30 and you finish Yangkou with time to spare.
Can I do Jufeng and the southern line in one day?
Technically, enjoyably no. Jufeng deserves its own morning — reviewers who stack both report seeing both badly. Give the summit its own day (or its own sunrise).
Which day should be Day 1?
The southern line — it is the most flexible and least weather-dependent. If wind closes a summit cableway, you have lost a morning, not the trip.
Where should I sleep for a 2-day plan?
Near the mountain: the Jiushui valley or the villages along the coast road. Downtown Qingdao works for the one-day plan but turns a sunrise summit into a midnight alarm.
What if it rains on my only day?
Flip the plan to Beijiushui — the pools and cascades peak in rain — and keep the coast road for between-showers drives. Storm-heavy days can close cableways; the hotline confirms.
Book the right ticket
One day or two — book the matching pass
Taiqing line for the classic day, all-access for the summit weekend. Instant confirmation, free cancellation on most dates.
Deepen the plan: zone details in the Guide du visiteur, season timing in best time to visit, the summit question in hiking Laoshan, transport in how to get there, and the full price table in tickets 2026.
